Following the attack on the Benghazi Consulate and the horrific loss of the U.S. Ambassador, two CIA operatives end up in the custody of a militant organization in Libya. The U.S. government needs to move quickly, and Maxine “Max” Walters is the analyst assigned to coordinate with a private military contractor who has been hired to extract them.

Growing up in a military family and having lived abroad, Max is familiar with the harsh realities of international conflict. But entering the danger-filled realm of clandestine operations is a whole other test. As she begins her first field assignment, Max has to prove herself to seasoned agents who question her skills as she faces the ever-present risks of war-torn Libya.
